ABOUT ME

I am so glad you made your way here.  I am passionate about supporting you on your vocal discovery journey–finding more freedom in your true voice, and unfolding its uniqueness and power.

I’ve found solace in singing during this time of isolation due to Covid-19, and I thank Margaret for helping me express my feelings through song.” -Bernie S.

Throughout my 16+ years as a college voice professor and professional singer, I’ve had my fair share of struggles involving my voice and my body.  Initially, these obstacles were devastating for me but then they spurred on an inner determination to heal at any cost.

I’m grateful to say the results of my epic journey have been filled with learning, as well as empowering discoveries for myself, and my students.

Singing should be a joyful and stress-relieving activity.  Yet maybe you too have had obstacles that get in the way of singing with freedom, maybe even robbing you of your desire to express yourself.

Actually, learning to sing well can have much in common with any healing journey.  Such a journey calls for an experienced guide with a sophisticated understanding of the voice as well as sensitivity to the human element–because singing is so much more than just the voice.

I know well how the voice functions when healthiest and free, and my wide base of experience includes many holistic approaches that empower you to know your voice in greater depth.  You will discover new and exciting aspects of your voice.  This whole, organic learning process brings you more vocal freedom and joy.
